Dear customer,

Christmas is just around the corner and the ‘Learn to Swim’ programme at Brookvale Recreation Centre was due to shut on Friday 23^rd December 2022. However, due to ongoing staffing/resources issues which have escalated in recent days, we have had to take the difficult decision to close earlier than planned. The ‘Learn to Swim’ programme at Brookvale Recreation Centre will close with immediate effect and will return on Saturday 7^th January 2023. If the programme had remained open, this would have resulted in a high number of cancellations which is both inconvenient and disappointing for customers. We would like to apologise and thank you for your ongoing patience and understanding.

Direct Debits

The Christmas shutdown will be 3 weeks, compared to the normal 2 weeks. Direct debit payments are pro rota’d to include the usual 2 week shutdown, so all customers will be refunded for the additional week via an amendment to their February direct debit amount.

For customers with a swimming lesson on either a Thursday, Friday or Saturday, an additional refund will be required for Thursday 15^th December, Friday 16^th December and Saturday 17^th December. This will be included in the February direct debit amount.

Any cancelled lessons prior to the 12^th of December will be included in January’s direct debit amount.
